We Have Two Winners!!!

Thank you to all of our participants!

Our local celebrity judges, Mayor Chuck Infelt, First Lady Lou Infelt and Police Chief Rich Pursell had a wonderful time going around and viewing all of the different Denny the Detour Dogs in Waverly on Friday.  At the end of the day, 26 businesses participate throughout the community. Once finished viewing and judging, all of the scores for each dog were tallied and resulted in a tie for first place. Congratulations go to Darrin Siefken and the team at CrawDaddy Outdoors and to Ryan Frerich and the team at Meyer Pharmacy for all of their hard work and creativity that went in to each of their dog's designs. Several other businesses scored high creating an Honorable Mention list which includes, Bella Nails & Boutique, Bo Studio.121, Century 21 and State Bank.

Our sincere thanks to all of the participating businesses who put time and effort towards their dogs and we encourage everyone to continue to showcase their designs throughout the remainder of the project. If your dog was not ready Friday, we also encourage you to complete your Denny and showcase him as an extension of your business throughout the project. If you still want to purchase a dog and and get creative designing and decorating your business' own Denny, please contact the Chamber office at 319-352-4526 or email at waverly@waverlychamber.com. Dog cutouts can be purchased for $12.

I enjoyed hitting the streets with our judges and helping them tally up their scores at the end of the day! What a great time and good laughs. Thank you judges for making this a great community event! And a HUGE thank you to my friend Anelia K. Dimitrova from Waverly Newspapers for joining us and recording the judging through pictures.
